- Robin Hood’s Bay Smugglers! – the sounds and smells of 18th century smuggling, including access to an actual smuggler’s tunnel.
- Saltburn Smugglers’ Heritage Centre – the story of contraband in the 18th century seaboard.
- Scarborough Castle – built around 1130 on site of Roman signaling station and besieged several times.
- Sewerby Hall and Gardens nr Bridlington – Georgian House with Victorian orangery in 15 acres of parkland overlooking Bridlington.
- Skipsea Castle – Unusual motte and bailey built around 1086 but destroyed by Henry III.
- Whitby Abbey – abbey founded in 7th century high on headland, destroyed during Viking invasion.
- Whitby RNLI Lifeboat Museum – last self-righting lifeboat built in 1919 plus extensive collection of lifeboat artifacts.
