Features from a long agricultural history ...

It is a bright, sunny day and the courtyard is flooded with sunlight. You awake in your luxury bedroom in a cottage converted from a traditional stone barn. After calling in at the bathroom, with its clean lines and fresh decor, you make your way to the custom-designed kitchen for a tasty breakfast made from local produce.

You adjourn to the lounge and relax into a comfortable chair and review some of the attractive tourist literature provided, glancing occasionally towards the picture window with its extensive and beautiful views. Outside you can hear the birds singing in the orchard.

General ...

Each cottage has been individually designed, and is furnished, decorated and equipped to the highest of standards. You can be confident that the resident owners will ensure your cottage is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for your arrival.

Cottages are available all year round, and all the accommodation is centrally heated. Please note however that although we accept children in our cottages, there is no play equipment available - such as slides, swings etc. Children are welcome to play in the courtyard or on a level grassed area.

All our cottages have picture windows with panoramic views.

Dove Cottage ...

Converted from the original kitchens of the historic farmhouse, this charming cottage probably dates back to when hens lived above the kitchens. You can still see the brick and wood nesting boxes built into the stone walls. All the spacious accommodation at Dove Cottage is contained on the ground floor (there are no steps at all). The picture window in the lounge gives magnificent views of the Vale of Pickering and the hills of the National Park.

The open plan lounge ⁄ kitchen ⁄ dining area includes the original kitchen fire range and side oven. The kitchen is fully-equipped with labour-saving appliances, as well as all crockery and utensils. The bedroom can be provided as either double or twin accommodation, and it includes an en suite shower room with toilet and washbasin.

Granary Cottage ...

Granary Cottage provides spacious two storey accommodation. This former granary is well-endowed with olde-worlde charm, and incorporates many large old beams. Two huge picture windows almost fill one wall of the lounge, giving magnificent views of the Vale of Pickering and the hills of the National Park. The kitchen is fully-equipped with labour-saving appliances, as well as all crockery and utensils.

There are two attractive bedrooms on the first floor, one of which contains a king size bed, and the other twin beds. The colourful bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet and washbasin.

Orchard Cottage ...

This beautiful cottage, at one time the farm's milking parlour, has exceptionally spacious rooms. The fireplace was designed to incorporate some original bread ovens from the farmhouse. All the accommodation at Orchard Cottage is contained on the ground floor (there are no steps at all). The lounge ⁄ dining ⁄ kitchen area is open plan, with a picture window giving magnificent views of the Vale of Pickering and the hills of the National Park. The kitchen is fully-equipped with every modern convenience.

Both bedrooms have plenty of space. One sleeps two in a double bed and the other has three single beds. The bright and cheery bathroom has a bath, over-bath shower, toilet and washbasin.

Primrose Cottage ...

This large cottage was converted from a barn used in later years as a grain store. There is a large lounge with a stone feature fireplace and a picture window giving magnificent views of the Vale of Pickering and the hills of the National Park. The combined kitchen / dining room is light and airy, and is fully-equipped with labour-saving appliances as well as all crockery and utensils.

On the first floor are three bedrooms: one with a double bed and another with twin beds. There is also a single bedroom, and a sixth person can be accommodated by sleeping on a quality folding bed in the single bedroom. The bathroom has a bath, over-bath shower, toilet and washbasin.

Wren Cottage ...

This former stable has many original features including exposed stone walls and some large old beams. On the ground floor, there is a large, open plan lounge / dining room / kitchen, which has a picture window for magnificent views of the Vale of Pickering and the hills of the National Park.
